RSM Vietnam celebrates 20 years of business operations and proudly stands as one of the leading audit and consulting firms in Vietnam.
RSM Vietnam and the 20-year journey
At the beginning of the 21st century, Vietnam embarked on a path of economic internationalization while simultaneously transitioning to a market-oriented economy.
Joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2007 was a significant opportunity for Vietnam to collaborate with leading global markets, thereby strengthening and adapting domestic reforms based on robust external commitments. This marked a crucial turning point as the push for trade liberalization and international integration helped narrow the gap between vibrant export activities and the rest of the economy. Furthermore, the concentration of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam was bolstered by this integration.
During that time, amidst a rapidly growing economy with significant changes in regulations and policies, RSM Vietnam, formerly known as DTL, was established in July 2001 by certified public accountants (CPAs) and experienced professional consultants in the fields of auditing and taxation in Vietnam. With these advantages, RSM Vietnam possesses a team of experts who are confident in providing professional services to its business clients, integrating comprehensive knowledge of the business environment in Vietnam while ensuring international quality standards.
Since its establishment in July 2001, the company has continuously improved and expanded its business operations, as well as enhanced its expertise and service quality to meet the increasing demands of businesses. In 2008, RSM Vietnam opened its second office in Hanoi. In just a short period, the Hanoi office made impressive developments not only in the capital city but also expanded into the Northern region market, making significant contributions to the success and growth of RSM Vietnam.
RSM Vietnam officially became a member of the RSM International network in 2012. RSM International is ranked 6th among global auditing and consulting networks, with a network comprising 820 offices in over 120 countries, employing more than 48,000 staff members, and led by 3,750 partners worldwide.
In 2021, with the opening of a new office in Da Nang, RSM Vietnam executed its strategic growth plan with confidence and ambition to tap into the Central Vietnam market and contribute to the local economic development. The presence of three business offices with over 400 experts nationwide marked the 20-year journey of growth and maturity for RSM Vietnam. This growth has been achieved by leveraging a global network combined with domestic expertise, solidifying its position and commitment to supporting businesses in achieving their goals through the provision of audit, tax, consulting, and outsourcing services.
Spreading the message "The power of being understood"
Committed to conveying the message "The Power of Understanding," over the course of 20 years, RSM Vietnam has continuously built strong relationships with its clients based on deep collaboration, understanding, innovative ideas, and expertise to address critical business issues.
The company's expertise and service quality have been recognized by the domestic and regional business community through various awards. Most recently, RSM Vietnam received the "Outstanding M&A Consulting Firm" award at the Vietnam M&A Forum for two consecutive years (2019 & 2020) and was nominated in two categories, "Transfer Pricing Consulting Firm of the Year in Vietnam" and "Asia Tax Compliance Firm of the Year" at the 2020 Asia Tax Awards.
Ambitions to drive growth
“Despite a challenging year with many obstacles, it has also brought new opportunities for RSM Vietnam to develop its business activities," said Mr. Dang Xuan Canh, Director of RSM Vietnam
Despite the impact of the pandemic, RSM Vietnam achieved revenues of approximately 160 billion VND and maintained the 8th position among auditing companies in Vietnam in 2020. Notably, RSM Vietnam's accumulated revenue over the 20 years reached over 1,000 billion VND by 2020.
“Vietnam has recently become a bright spot, attracting significant investments from various countries. With our business expansion and digital transformation strategy, we see this as an opportunity to develop and revitalize the market," said Mr. Le Khanh Lam, Chairman of RSM Vietnam
With the opening of the office in Da Nang in the second quarter of this year, RSM Vietnam once again demonstrates its ambition to expand its business and achieve rapid growth by applying digital transformation methods and leveraging its global network, combined with local expertise and professional services.
